Hi, About 4 years ago, I built a PC tower (everything new parts). I've been using it every day for four years now. I am concerned about my hard drive, Western Digital VelociRaptor (model WD6000HLHX), 600 GB, 10,000 RPM because it is getting old and may fail anytime soon. I do have a back up of my data using a Western Digital Passport. I love my home-build PC, it runs so well after 4 years (runs on Windows 7). I don't plan to build another one. I am thinking about buying a new hard drive, probably same as my old drive (VelociRaptor), can I make a "mirror copy" of my HD into a HD, then remove the old HD... and run my PC on a new HD? without having to buy a new operating system, Microsoft Office software, Norton antivirus, etc? Is it possible to do that? Please Help. Thanks! for more you can check: References: www.techrepublic.com/forums/Corporate Advertising
